Beijing: China kidnapped children and sold a woman selling them for 30-30 thousand rupees, after being sentenced to death. According to the information, the Chinese woman, convicted of kidnapping and smuggling 17 children in nearly a decade, was hanged in Guiyang in South-West Guijhou province on Friday. Government news agency Xinhua gave this information.
According to the news agency, U Huying (62) was accused of plotting with other people for the smuggling of children in several areas including Guizhou, Chongking and Yunnan between 1993 and 2003. According to Xinhua, the Guiyang Intermediate People’s Court of Guijhou province completed the death sentence after the Supreme Publicist Court approved the death sentence.

The Guiyang’s court sentenced the convict to death on 25 October 2024. The court also ordered to confiscate his personal property and deprive his political rights for life. U was arrested in 2022 after a complaint with Yang Nihuua. Nihuua was picked up by U from Guizhou and sold in 1995 to 2,500 yuan (about 30 thousand Indian rupees) in Hebai. China has been struggling with the problem of kidnapping of children by organized gangs over years, which sell them to childless couples for begging and criminal activities. (Language)
