Bangkok: A 14-year-old student has been arrested in Thailand for killing his Australian classmate following a fight. Police gave information about this on Friday. Police Colonel Tanapol Klinkesorn, director of Sattahip police station, said the suspect told investigators that he and the victim also disliked each other in school and that the two had met each other through messaging apps at a grocery store near their home in Sattahip, Chonburi province. But agreed to meet on Tuesday.

Tanapol said that during this time there was a clash between the two students and the accused attacked him with a knife. According to a charity organization called Sawang Roznatham Rescue Foundation, the boy’s body was found near the shop with a knife inserted in his back.

The accused got bail

Tanapol said that about an hour after the incident, the accused student along with his parents surrendered before the Sattahip police. After this he was produced before a Juvenile and Family Court, from where he was released on bail. Police said the charges carry a maximum sentence of 15 years and they are investigating the case.
