Washington: US Vice President Kamala Harris has raised more than twice the amount from donors than former President Donald Trump in August. Harris’ campaign team gave this information on Friday. The campaign team said that in her first month after being declared a presidential candidate, Harris has received about 36 crore 10 lakh US dollars from 30 lakh donors. While Trump’s team said that the former Vice President has received about 13 crore US dollars from donors in August.
Where will the funds be used
Vice President Harris’s team says that at the end of August, they had more than US $ 404 million, which is about US $ 109 million more than the amount declared by Trump’s campaign team at the end of August. Harris’s funds are being used to finance the media campaign in the last two months of the election campaign and to pay more than two thousand employees working in 310 election offices established in the states where the election is contested.
