India NSA Ajit Doval (R) and Nigeria NSA Nuhu Ribadu (L)
India and Nigeria Talks: Many important issues have been discussed between India’s NSA Ajit Doval and Nigeria’s National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu. Nigeria’s National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu is on a visit to India from 4 to 5 November 2024 at the invitation of Ajit Doval. This visit of Nuhu Ribadu is considered important because during this period strategic and anti-terrorism talks took place between India and Nigeria. During his visit, the National Security Advisor of Nigeria also visited the National Security Guard complex in Manesar.
Discussion took place on these issues
The National Security Advisors of India and Nigeria held in-depth discussions on the threats posed by terrorism, extremism, radicalization through cyberspace, as well as transnational crime, arms and drug trafficking. During this, there were also discussions on dealing with the challenges and strategically enhancing the partnership between India and Nigeria.
‘Terrorism not accepted’
During the meeting, both sides talked about cooperation to enhance their fight against terrorism in all its forms. The National Security Advisors of both the countries said that there can be no justification for terrorism in any form or expression. During this, the National Security Advisors of both the countries also agreed to increase cooperation in bilateral capacity building and strengthen cooperation in the international arena.
