New Delhi: India-Indonesia has decided to give a new height to defense and trade relations. Along with this, many such decisions have been taken, which can cause China’s concern. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held extensive talks with Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto. The two countries agreed to work jointly to speed up the overall bilateral relations in the areas of defense manufacturing and supply chain.
Please tell that Subianto is on a three -day visit to India. He will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations to be held on the duty path on Sunday. After the talks, in his statement, Modi described Indonesia as the “important partner” of India in the Indian Group of 10 countries as well as India in the Indo-Pacific region and said that the two countries are committed to the rules-based system in the region.
Gave tension to China
India-Indonesia’s friendship has also given China tension. Amidst the increasing global concerns over China’s growing military strength in the Indo-Pacific region, PM Modi said, “We agree that freedom of shipping should be ensured in accordance with international law.” The Prime Minister said, “We held extensive discussions on various aspects of our bilateral relations.” He said that India and Indonesia have agreed to work jointly on the Defense Manufacturing and Supplies Series. Modi said that the agreement signed between India and Indonesia in the maritime security sector will further strengthen cooperation in prevention, discovery and rescue and capacity building. He said that the two sides discussed the need for diversity in the business sector and market access to promote overall economic relations.
Strong alliance in AI and Digital Infrastructure
The Prime Minister said, “We have decided to strengthen cooperation in areas such as Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, ‘Internet of Things’ and Digital Public Infrastructure.” He also said that the two sides emphasized on cooperation in the field of maritime security, cyber security, prevention of terrorism and freedom from fundamentalism. In the talks, the Indian side also welcomed Indonesia’s BRICS membership. Describing the conversation as meaningful, the President of Indonesia said that both sides have agreed to increase cooperation in many major areas of shared interests. Subiyanto said, “I have instructed our officials that we need to increase the economic partnership with India.” (Language)
