New Delhi: During the weekly media briefing, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has responded on many issues. Regarding terrorism, Jaiswal said, “The whole world knows who is promoting terrorism. When terrorism-related attacks happen in India, where is it coming from, we all understand the origin and root of cross-border terrorism. Everyone knows that there are people and countries who are responsible for cross-border terrorism, and we call on Pakistan to take strict action to stop cross-border terrorism.”

‘India is against illegal immigration’

A new immigration policy has been implemented in America. Regarding this, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We are against illegal immigration. It is linked to many forms of organized crime. Not only in America, but Indians living anywhere in the world if they stay longer than the stipulated time. “If they are living in any country for up to 10 days, or they are in any country without proper documents, then we will take them back.”

‘Agreements have been signed between India and Bangladesh’

Regarding Bangladesh, Randhir Jaiswal said, “There have been many agreements between India and Bangladesh for fencing the border. It is necessary to fence the border so that crime related incidents can be prevented. The activity of the fencing is as per the agreement between the two countries. As it is happening, both countries should move forward together to implement the agreement.”

‘An eye is on the opposition to the film ‘Emergency”

Regarding the protests against the film ‘Emergency’ in Britain, Jaiswal said, “We have seen several reports of how the film ‘Emergency’ being screened in many halls is being disrupted. We are continuously aware of violent protests and protests by anti-India elements. Express concerns about incidents of intimidation. Freedom of speech and expression cannot be selectively enforced and we hope that the UK side will hold those responsible accountable. “We will take appropriate action. Our High Commission in London remains in regular contact with our community members to ensure their safety.”

India’s stand on Russia-Ukraine war is clear

On the Russia-Ukraine war, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Our stand has always been the same. We are in favor of peace and we want a peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. Our Prime Minister has said That this is not the era of war. He also said that there is no solution on the battlefield.”
