United Nations: India has described the anti -sea and anti -terrorism strategy for national security in the United Nations (UN). On the issue of terrorism and maritime security, India has also done a mirror to the whole world. Enemy countries have also come into tension against terrorism and in favor of maritime security.
India told the United Nations Security Council that it considers it very important in terms of national security and economic interests to deal with maritime security and terrorism. Ambassador to India, Ambassador to the United Nations, Parvatnani Harish said that our country is constantly strengthening its strategy in view of emerging threats and geopolitical changes in the Indo-Pacific region.
India’s move towards global stability
Ambassador Harish on Tuesday addressed a high -level open debate on the topic ‘strengthening maritime through international cooperation for global stability’ at the Security Council. He said, “India’s coastline is long and it is a country with marine visits and powerful naval capabilities. So India is playing an active role to protect its interests as a responsible maritime power.”
The cornerstone of marine security progress
Ambassador Harish said that India’s marine strategy is based on strong defense capabilities, regional diplomacy, international cooperation and balance of domestic infrastructure development. India believes that marine security is the cornerstone of economic progress as major business routes, energy supply and strategic interests are connected to the oceans. India also clarified that it fully supports the principles of the United Nations Sea Law Conference (UNCLOS) to promote an independent, free and rules-based system in the maritime.
UN expressed concern over terrorism and pirate dacoits
On the occasion, United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Gutaras said that all countries should follow the United Nations Charter and International Marine Laws to ensure maritime security. He warned that dangers such as piracy, smuggling, organized crime and terrorism are serious challenges for global peace, trade and economic stability. The Security Council is constantly trying to deal with this. (Language)
