Indian citizen arrested in America (symbolic photo)
New York: Immigration officials have arrested four people, including an Indian citizen in connection with allegations related to sexual harassment in the US. Indian citizen Jaspal Singh was arrested on 29 January in Tukvilla, Washington. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department (ICE)-Sietal said in a release last week that Jaspal Singh has been accused of ‘sexual harassment’. Others arrested are citizens of Mexico, Guatemala and Al Salvador.
Action will be taken after arrest
After the arrest, now all four people will be in custody of ICE till the action of expulsion. Drew Bostock, director of ICE Enforcement and Abusting Operations Seattle Field Office, said, “Protecting our communities, further harassing Pacific is extremely important for ICE in the north-west. These arrests confirm the message that the presence of illegal criminal elements will not be tolerated. ”
