Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the President of Palestine regarding the Ghazi crisis.

Mahmoud Abbas Met PM Modi: PM Modi held a bilateral meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in New York.

During his meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas, the PM expressed deep concern over the emerging humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the deteriorating security situation in the region.

PM Modi also reaffirmed India’s unwavering support, including continued humanitarian assistance, to the people of Palestine.

He reiterated India’s time-tested principled position on the Israel-Palestine issue. He called for a ceasefire, release of hostages, and a return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.

“Met President Mahmoud Abbas in New York,” PM Modi said in a post on social media platform X on Monday after the meeting.

Reiterated India’s support for early restoration

Reiterated India’s support for early restoration of peace and stability in the region. Exchanged views on further strengthening long-standing friendship with the people of Palestine.”

PM Modi stressed that only a two-nation solution will provide lasting peace and stability in the region. Recalling that India was one of the first countries to recognise Palestine, he spoke of India’s continued support for Palestine’s membership in the United Nations.

The two leaders discussed various aspects of India-Palestine bilateral relations, including India’s support to Palestine at the United Nations and ongoing assistance and support to Palestine in the fields of education, health and other capacity building efforts.

The two leaders discussed India-Palestine (India-Palestine) Reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen bilateral relations.
