Ottawa: A 22-year-old Indian student was stabbed to death during a fight in Canada’s Ontario province. Police has given information about this incident. The police have arrested a person living with the victim in this case. Gursis Singh, a first-year business management student at Lambton College, was stabbed to death in Sarnia on Sunday, police said in a statement.
The deceased and the accused lived in the same room
According to police, a knife attack was reported at 194 Queen Street, where Singh and 36-year-old accused Crosley Hunter lived in a room. Police have recovered Singh’s body and arrested Hunter in the case. According to the police, both of them lived in the same room and there was a dispute between them regarding the kitchen. The dispute escalated so much that accused Hunter attacked Gurasis with a knife. Gurasis Singh died in this attack.
College administration issued statement
Loker Police Chief Derek Davis said Sarnia police are investigating the case and gathering evidence to determine the real motive behind the crime. The college administration has also issued a statement condoling Singh’s demise. The college has issued a statement saying that the loss of the student is a tragedy for us. We mourn the murder of Gurassis.
