After a telephone talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s ambassador Ruveen Azar, while hoping on Saturday, said that India has the ability to mediate to reduce the growing stress between Israel-Iran in India.
Azar told ‘PTI video’, “India has a way to interact with both sides. It can actually play the role (in mediation). We are happy with this honest conversation with India which is our very good friend… We listen carefully to your worries. I think they (concerns) are justified. ”
This comment has come in the midst of increased tension in West Asia due to Israel and Iran attack against each other.
Netanyahu on Friday called Prime Minister Modi and informed about Israel’s action. The ambassador described the action aimed at preventing Iran from making nuclear weapons and defensive measures to respond to the “existence threat” arising from the ballistic missile program.
Emphasizing that Israel had “no alternative” other than decisive action, Azar said, “No country in the world wants to create such a condition.” He claimed that a secret group of Iranian officers was trying to create nuclear weapons with the intention of “destroyed” to Israel and the supreme leader of Iran keeps saying this repeatedly.
Considering Iran’s “plans” to create a huge arsenal of ballistic missiles in the coming years, Azar said, “We had to overcome a adjacent threat and take decisive action against their nuclear installations and ballistic missiles.”
The ambassador said, “They are planning to prepare 10,000 ballistic missiles in the next three years and 20,000 ballistic missiles in the next six years. He has a huge arsenal that is a threat to Israel. They can attack us from the southern front, so we had no choice but to take action on this nuclear threat and we are firm to reach it. ”
Azar also said that the purpose of Israel’s ongoing campaigns is to ensure that Iran cannot enhance uranium, which is a goal that Israel is determined to achieve both diplomatic or military ways. Referring to the 60-day dialogue period of US President Donald Trump, he said that Israel took action on the 61st day when Iran did not accept it.
Azar alleged, “Iran is cheating other countries.” He said that Israel will continue its campaign until Iran’s nuclear threat is ineffective. On the death of Iran’s military leaders and nuclear scientists in the targeted attacks, Azar said that the purpose of the attacks is to “destroy” “criminal conspiracy” to “destroy” Israel.
He said, “Those responsible for this conspiracy have been erased. We hope that their successors will learn lessons and stop doing such activities. ”
