Iran first admitted for the first time on Wednesday, 25 June 2025 that the attacks by the US on 22 June, such as Fordo, Isfahan and Natanj, were “heavy losses”. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai told Al Jazeera that the attacks from B-2 Stealth Bombers were “important”, but refused to give information in detail.
The satellite imagery of the Maxar Technologies confirmed on 24 June that the tunnel entrance and perimeter buildings were destroyed in the Fordo, two large pits were built near the Centrifuse Hall in Natanj, and four important buildings were damaged in Isfahan.
US President Donald Trump claimed that the attacks “completely destroy” Iran’s nuclear program, but the initial report by the US intelligence agency Dia dismissed it, saying the loss was partial and the program could be restored in a few months. Iran claimed that it had shifted its highly enhanced uranium to a safe place before the attacks.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi said, “The game is not over yet.” Despite the ceasefire implemented by Qatar’s arbitration on 24 June, both sides made allegations of violation. IAEA warned that the attack can increase the risk of nuclear disaster in the area.
