51-year-old Farhad Shakiri is originally Afghan. After spending 14 years in American prison in a robbery case, he was deported from there in 2008. After this he joined the Iranian army. The US Justice Department has said that Rivera and Jonathan have been taken into custody. Meanwhile, Shaqiri is still free in Iran.
