Iran fired missiles on Monday, 23 June 2025 at the US’s largest military base, Al Uddi Air Base, which is seen as a major bulge in the Israeli-Iran war. Iran’s Tasnim News Agency named the attack “Annunciation of Victory”, which targeted American bases in Qatar and Iraq. According to Reuters, the sounds of several explosions were heard in Doha.
The attack by the US on Saturday took place in response to the attack from the B-2 stealth bombers at Iran’s Fordo, Natanj and Isfahan nuclear bases. US President Donald Trump described these attacks as “spectacular military success”, claiming that the hideouts were “completely destroyed”. However, satellite imagery shows that the loss was partial.
Qatar shut down its airspace before the attack, and the US and Britain advised their citizens to take shelter. Al -Uddar is deployed around 8,000 American soldiers. Iran also attacked Iraq’s Ain al-Assad base, where the air defense system was activated.
Iran’s military officials warned that the US would have to pay a “heavy price”. On the other hand, Trump threatened Iran for more attacks and appealed for peace talks, which Iran turned down. Global leaders demanded de-skeleton, but tension in the Middle East is at its peak.
Earlier, Iran today termed the Nameryric President Donald Trump as a “gambler” and warned that he had launched a war by attacking Iran’s nuclear bases, but it will end it.
On Monday, 23 June 2025, Iran’s Khatam Al-Ambia Central Military Headquarters spokesman Ibrahim Zulfkari said in a video statement, “Mr. Trump, Gamble, you started this war, but we will finish it.” The statement came by the US on Saturday after the attack on Iran’s Fordo, Natanj and Isfahan nuclear sites.
