Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu ISKCON Bangladesh
Bangladesh: ISKCON Bangladesh Secretary Chinmoy Das Brahmachari has been arrested by Bangladesh Detective Department from Dhaka Airport. According to the source, Chinmay Das was arrested while going from Dhaka to Chittagong. After his arrest, he has been taken to an unknown place.
Sedition case registered
Chinmoy Das Brahmachari, one of the leading members of the ISKCON group in Bangladesh, was booked for treason. This case was registered on October 20 against Chinmoy Das and 19 other leaders and workers of Hindu organizations in Chittagong district. The allegation is that the national flag of Bangladesh was disrespected during a rally held in Chittagong on 25 October, where the saffron flag of ISKCON was hoisted above the flag of Bangladesh.
Hindus are the target
Due to the student movement in Bangladesh, minority Hindus living there are under target after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government. Hindus and their religious places were targeted during the student movement. ISKCON temple located in Khulna, Meherpur of Bangladesh was also targeted. Regarding this attack, Chinmoy Prabhu had expressed deep concern over the security of Hindu temples.
