US President Donald Trump accused Israel and Iran of violating the ceasefire announced after the 12 -day war on Tuesday, 24 June 2025. Trump wrote on Truth social, “I am not happy with both countries, especially from Israel.” The statement came a few hours after the ceasefire was implemented, when Israel claimed that Iran broke the ceasefire by firing two ballistic missiles. Iran dismissed these allegations, saying it did not attack after ceasefire.
Trump first wrote on Truth Social, “Ceasefire is now applicable. Please do not violate it!” But Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered a “strong attack” on Tehran, which Trump called “major violations” warned, “Israel, do not drop those bombs. Call your pilots immediately!” Israel claimed an attack on Iran, citing the death of four people in Birsheba, while Iran reported 9 deaths.
The ceasefire began with Qatar’s mediation broke within a few hours.
