Israeli attack on Gaza
Deir Al Bala: Gaza is being continuously bombed by Israel. 10 people, including three children and two officers of the Hamas-run police force, have been killed in the latest attacks by Israel on the Gaza Strip. Palestinian officials have given information about this. The attack took place on Thursday in Muwasi, a humanitarian zone declared by Israel.
What did the Israeli army say?
Regarding the attack, Israel has said that it has killed terrorist Hossam Shahwan, the head of Hamas internal security forces in southern Gaza, in an intelligence-based attack. Shahwan was responsible for helping elements of Hamas’s military wing in attacks on the IDF in Gaza.
What did Palestinian officials say
Palestinian officials said the dead included Gaza Police Director General Major General Mahmoud Salah and his deputy, Brigadier General Hossam Shahwan. The Hamas-run government in Gaza included thousands of policemen who maintained public order before the war began. Now, after being targeted by Israel, police have largely disappeared from the streets in many areas, due to which the law and order situation has deteriorated.
