The Israeli army has entered the Gaza Strip and inside and has also destroyed the only cancer hospital in the war -torn area. Israeli leaders have said that Israel will continue to occupy more areas until Hamas releases its remaining hostages.
The hospital is located in the Netzerim Corridor dividing Gaza. Shortly after breaking the ceasefire with Hamas, this week Israel took the region again under its control.
This ceasefire led to relatively peace in Gaza since the end of January and has helped in the release of more than two dozen hostages. The Israeli army said that it attacked Turkish-Pilstino Friendship Hospital as doctors and patients were unable to reach the hospital during the war and Hamas fighters were fighting their battle from there.
Dr. Zaki al-Jakjuk, head of the hospital’s ‘Oncology Department’, said that during the ceasefire, a medical team visited the hospital and found that there was some damage, but some medical facilities were still in the right position.
He said in a statement, “I am unable to understand what will be achieved by bombing such a hospital?” The Turkian Foreign Ministry has condemned the destruction of this hospital.
