Jerusalem: At least three people were killed in shooting on a bus carrying Israelis in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service said at least six other people were also injured in the attack on Monday. Violence has increased in the West Bank since the attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which has intensified the ongoing war there. This attack took place in the Palestinian village Al-Funduk. The identity of the attacker and those killed were not immediately known.

‘No one will be spared’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that no one involved in this heinous attack will be spared. Hamas praised the attack in a statement but did not claim responsibility. Israel captured the West Bank in the 1967 war. The Palestinians want it back with the aim of making it a core part of their future state. About 3 million Palestinians live in the West Bank under the surveillance of the Israeli army. There are Palestinian Authority administrative population centers here. More than five lakh Israelis also live here in various settlements.

Israel is attacking in Gaza

Israel intensified attacks

The statement said the Israeli military is fully responsible for these horrific crimes and also criticized the US administration for providing arms and political support. (AP)
