Jerusalem: The Israeli army on Monday launched massive airstrikes against the Huti rebels in Hodeeda province located in the Lal Sea region of Yemen. At least one person was killed and 35 others were injured in these attacks. The action was taken by the Huti rebels on Sunday in response to the missile attack at the main airport in Israel. The media office of the Huti rebels reported that at least 6 air strikes were carried out at Hodeeda port on Monday afternoon. Apart from this, a cement factory also underwent attacks in Bajil district located in 55 km north-east from Hodeeida city. The complete information about the damage done at both these places has not been revealed yet.

More than 50 ammunition fired

The Israeli army said that more than 20 fighter aircraft took part in this operation and more than 50 ammunition were fired at dozens of goals. Residents of Hodeida said that loud blasts were heard at the port and the flames and smoke arose from there. The sounds of an ambulance siren were also echoing in the city. Ahmed Saleh, who lives near Hodeida, said of the blasts, “It was very strong.” After the attack on the cement factory in Bajil, there was a fire and dense smoke. Local resident Khalid Saif said that the ambulance immediately reached the spot.

‘One person died in Israeli attacks’

The Health Ministry run by Huti said that one person died and 35 people were injured in an Israeli attacks on the cement factory. The ministry said that rescue teams are still searching for missing people. Let me tell you that on Sunday, Huti rebels fired a missile from Yemen, which fell on a road near the main airport in Israel. America said- we were not involved in the attack

Huti rebels claimed that the attack was the joint action of Israel and the United States. However, an US defense officer said on the condition of anonymity that the US Army was not involved in the Israeli attacks on Yemen on Monday. These attacks were not part of the American military operation ‘Operation Rough Rider’, which is running since March 15, aims to prevent the Huti rebels from attacking ships in the Red Sea. In addition, another US official said that on Monday, the US Army carried out several attacks in Yemen’s capital Sana. This officer also gave this information on the condition of anonymity.

Huti controlled Hodeeda, which is about 145 km south-west to the capital Sanaa, has been important for food supply during the 10-year war in Yemen. Israel has already attacked Yemen, especially the Hodeeda port.
