Washington: Special Counsel Jack Smith has released a new report. In this report, Smith said that his team investigating Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential elections stood up for the rule of law. The new report contains his team’s findings about Trump’s efforts to remain in power. Smith has written in this report that he is firm on his decision to file criminal charges against the newly elected President Trump.
What’s in the report?
The report, released just days before Donald Trump’s return to the White House on January 20, highlights Trump’s failed efforts to remain in power in 2020. The Justice Department sent the report to Congress on Tuesday. Earlier a judge had refused to ban its release.
