Washington: US President Joe Biden said that America is flying the ‘flag’ in the ongoing competition in the world, while its rivals are facing difficulties. Biden gave his last speech as president on foreign policy at the US State Department headquarters in Foggy Bottom, in which he highlighted the achievements of his administration and the changes that have taken place in the world in the last four years.
‘Faced the crisis boldly’
Joe Biden said, “A new era has begun.” There were many crises in these four years which we faced boldly. In my view, we have emerged from this crisis stronger than ever. It is a rapidly growing competition (which is ongoing) between the global economy, technology, the future of human values and much more. I express my gratitude to our administration that America is flying the flag in global competition.
‘America has become stronger’
Biden said that America has become stronger, its relations with its partners have also strengthened, while its rivals have faced difficulties. He said, “We did not wage any war for this. During my tenure as President, I have increased America’s strength in every way. We have increased our diplomatic strength and America has made the most partners in the history of the country. And strengthened.”
‘Strong position for Trump’
President Joe Biden said his leadership of US foreign policy has made America safer and more economically secure. He said Donald Trump will inherit a nation that is seen as stronger and more trustworthy than it was four years ago. (Language)
