Washington: The White House, the office and official residence of the US President, has said that President Joe Biden is closely monitoring the situation in Bangladesh. The US will hold the interim government of Bangladesh responsible for ensuring the safety of religious and ethnic minorities in the country. White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby said in a press conference on Thursday, “The security situation in Bangladesh is complex after the former Prime Minister stepped down from the post. “We are working closely with the interim government to strengthen the capacity of its law enforcement and security services to address this challenge.”
