Washington: Joe Biden has said such things about America in his farewell speech which have become a topic of discussion not only in America but all over the world. Biden said that he has made a peace deal in Gaza. His administration brokered a ceasefire and hostage agreement between Hamas and Israel, after eight months of continuous negotiations. Along with this, he also made strong comments regarding the freedom of press in America.
‘There could be dangerous consequences’
Biden issued a stern warning about a group of wealthy people taking root in the country and the ‘techno-industrial complex’ that is violating the rights and democracy of Americans. “Today, a group with enormous wealth, power, and influence is rising in America to threaten our entire democracy, our basic rights and liberties, and everyone’s fair chance to get ahead,” he said. “Their abuse of power could have dangerous consequences if left unchecked,” it said, drawing attention to the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a few ultra-wealthy people.
Mentioned the former President
Citing former President Dwight Eisenhower’s warnings about the military-industrial complex when he left office in 1961, Biden said, “I am equally concerned about the potential growth of the techno-industrial complex that would threaten our country.” There may also be a real threat to it.
15 minute address
In his 15-minute address, Biden presented a ‘model’ for a peaceful transfer of power and expressed concerns about his successor without naming Trump. This speech given by him in the ‘Oval Office’ was his latest statement on domestic policy and foreign relations. Earlier he announced the long-awaited ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which could end more than a year of war in West Asia. “It will take time to feel the impact of what we have done together, but the seeds have been sown and they will grow into a harvest that will blossom for decades to come,” Biden said.
