Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned the US government led by US President Donald Trump that the Iran-Israel will have “irreplaceable results” of any American military intervention in the War. In a television address, Khamenei termed Trump’s demand for “unconditional dedication” as “obscene” and said, “Iran’s nation would never surrender, and Americans should know that any of his military intervention will cause serious damage.”
Israel on June 13 launched attacks on Iran’s military and nuclear bases under the ‘Operation Rising Lion’, killing 585 people and 1,326 injured. In response, Iran carried out missiles and drone attacks on Tel Aviv and Haifa, killing 24 people. Khamenei posted on X, “The war has started,” and vowed to give a strict reply to Israel as “terrorist Jayoni rule”.
Trump claimed on Truth Social that the US has “complete control” over the Iranian airspace and knows Khamenei’s whereabouts, but “currently” would not target him. He also said that he does not want the missiles to be fired on citizens or American soldiers. Trump vetoed Israel’s plan to kill Khamenei, saying that this could deepen the regional crisis.
Khamenei described Israeli attacks as a “big crime” and said that his country “will not show any mercy to the jayonis.” He also claimed that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful, although American intelligence says Iran is three years away from nuclear weapon. This war is a threat to regional stability, and G7 leaders have supported Israel’s right to self -defense.
