Terrorist attack in Pahalgam (l) Hamas attack on Israel (R)
New Delhi: Israeli Ambassador to India Ruven Azar compared the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on October 7, 2023 with Hamas attack on Israel. Hamas terrorists also targeted ordinary citizens in Israel. He also explained similarities about the attacks in both countries. Azar also warned about increasing coordination between terrorist groups.
‘Unarmed citizens targeted’
Referring to the death of more than 1,100 people in the terror attack by Hamas in Israel, Azar indicated deliberately targeting unarmed citizens in both cases. His remarks have brought the attack by terrorists at Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in South Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon, in which 26 people died, most of which were tourists from other states.
Innocent people targeted
Azar told ‘PTI video’, “Unfortunately, we have to accept that these terrorist groups are motivating each other. There are similarities between the Pahalgam attack and what happened in Israel on October 7 (2023). Innocent tourists were enjoying their holidays in Pahalgam, while people in Israel were enjoying a concert. ”
Hamas leaders met Jaish’s operatives
The Israeli ambassador also linked the time of the Pahalgam attack to Hamas leaders’ visit to Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK). Hamas leaders allegedly met Jaish-e-Mohammed’s henchmen and some others, indicating possible coordination. (Language)
