War between Russia and Ukraine
Ramstein Air Base (Germany): War continues between Russia and Ukraine. Both the countries are attacking each other rapidly. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in their last meeting on Thursday that the next Trump government should continue military aid to Ukraine. He warned that if military support was stopped now, it would “only lead to further aggression, anarchy and war.”
What did Zelensky say?
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “We have come so long that it would be truly madness to abandon the war now and not pursue the defense alliances we have created. No matter what is happening in the world, everyone wants to ensure that their country does not disappear from the map.”

US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin also announced that the US will send $500 million in security assistance to Ukraine. The assistance also includes missiles for fighter aircraft, equipment for F-16s, armored bridge systems and small arms and ammunition.
What did Lloyd Austin say?
“Putin will be even hungrier if he swallows Ukraine,” Austin told the nearly 50 member states that have been meeting to coordinate arms and military aid to Ukraine for the past three years. “If dictators accept that democracy will lose its roots, we will see more land grabs,” he said. “If dictators learn that aggression is profitable, we will see more aggression, anarchy and war.” (AP)
