Major plane crash in South Korea
Seoul: 28 people are reported dead in a plane crash in South Korea. It is said that the Jeju Air plane skidded off the runway during landing and crashed. There were a total of 181 people on board the plane, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members. According to news agency Yonhap, a plane skidded off the runway at South Korea’s Muan International Airport and crashed, in which 23 people have been confirmed injured. Currently, the rescue operation is going on at Muan International Airport.
The plane was returning from Thailand
According to the information, this Jeju Air plane was returning from Thailand. The plane slipped and hit a wall during landing at Muan Airport in South Korea. The plane caught fire as soon as it hit the wall. According to initial information, 28 people died in this accident. 32 fire engines and helicopters were also deployed to control the fire on the plane. After the accident, the entire area was filled with a thick plume of black smoke.
Two people pulled out alive from the debris
According to initial information, a malfunction in the landing gear is being said to be the cause of the accident. The National Fire Agency said the fire that broke out after the accident has been almost extinguished. The rescue operation is still going on till the time of writing the news. Passengers are being taken out from the wreckage of the plane. At present, two people have been rescued alive during the rescue operation. It has one passenger and one driver.
