Prague: A massive fire is being reported in a restaurant in the northern part of the Czech Republic. The fire was so terrible that at least 6 people have died in this accident so far. While six others have suffered serious burns. All these injured have been admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Officials shared information about this incident with the media on Sunday.

Czech Republic firefighters said the accident happened Saturday in the city of Most, about 100 kilometers (63 miles) north of Prague. Here a sudden fire broke out in the ‘U Kojota’ restaurant, which was open before midnight when the fire broke out. Police and firefighters said the fire was probably caused by a gas heater turning over. The fire could be brought under control by one o’clock and it took the efforts of more than 60 firefighters.

30 people were evacuated safely after the fire

Relief and rescue teams rescued at least 30 people safely in this fire. The burnt people were admitted to hospitals in Most and nearby cities. The case is being investigated. About 30 people were evacuated from the restaurant and a nearby apartment, Interior Minister Vit Rakusan said after visiting the scene Sunday morning. Most mayor Marek Hrvol said it was the worst tragedy in the city’s recent history. (AP)
