Meeting between PM Modi and Meloni.
Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Monday (local time). During the meeting, the two leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, investment and technology, including strengthening cultural and people-to-people relations.

After the meeting, PM Modi also made a post on social media platform X. In this post, while sharing pictures of the meeting, he wrote, “It was a pleasure to meet Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the Rio de Janeiro G20 Summit. Our conversation focused on deepening relations in defence, security, trade and technology. We discussed culture “Also talked about promoting cooperation in education and other such areas.” Apart from this he also discussed the friendship between India and Italy.
Meeting with leaders of Norway and Portugal
Apart from this, during the 19th G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, PM Modi also held a bilateral meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store. Earlier, PM Modi met the leaders of Indonesia and Portugal on the sidelines of the G20 leaders’ summit in Brazil. In his discussion, PM Modi emphasized on strengthening relations with both the countries in areas like commerce and defence.
Foreign Ministry gave information
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said PM Modi assured Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto of expanding the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He wrote on Twitter, “India-Indonesia: Celebrating 75 years of warm and friendly relations! PM Narendra Modi meets Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on the sidelines of the G20 Brazil Summit. PM congratulated President Prabowo and congratulated him Assured to expand India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”
