Mohammad Yunus, head of the interim government of Bangladesh.
Dhaka: For Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, the intoxication of power has become such a sore throat that he is unable to get out of it. In such a situation, the crisis on the interim government of Bangladesh has deepened. Yunus on Saturday called an emergency advisory council meeting to review the growing “discomfort” between its administration, political parties and the army. The meeting time has not been decided yet. This information has come out from media reports.
A few hours before this, Younus expressed his desire to step down as Chief Advisor (Prime Minister-Samman). He said that due to lack of consensus among political parties in the country, he is facing serious difficulties in working. The news agency UNB quoted sources as saying that Yunus will discuss with its advisors after a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), who are actually the same as the minister.
Mutual brainstorm before political meetings
It is expected that Yunus will hold this internal meeting before the scheduled meetings with leaders of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s party BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) and Jamaat-e-Islami.
According to the press branch of the Chief Advisor, the delegation of BNP will meet Yunus at 7 pm, while the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami will meet him at 8 pm. A BNP spokesman told the media, “The Chief Advisory Office has invited us to consult the current political situation.”
Why Younus wants to resign
Significantly, on Thursday night, Younus also asked the leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) established by the students that he was seriously considering resigning. According to him, “The political situation is such that now I am not able to fulfill my obligations properly.” Earlier on Thursday, Yunus had allegedly expressed his desire to resign during the day’s cabinet meeting.
Younus’s close claim
Waheeduddin Mahmood, a advisor in Mohammad Younus’s cabinet, told reporters, “He (Yunus) will definitely remain (in office).” He said that all the advisors will continue in their posts because “the responsibility assigned to us is important; We cannot back down from this duty. “Two days before this, Younus told the leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) led by the students that he was considering resigning as he feels that” he cannot work in the current situation.
