Bangladesh Goddess Kali Crown Stolen: While Durga Puja is celebrated everywhere in Bangladesh during Navratri, the crown of Goddess Kali has been stolen from the Jeshoreshwari temple of Shyam Nagar in Satkhira. This crown was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When PM Modi visited Bangladesh in March 2021, he offered this crown after visiting the goddess at Jeshoreshwari temple. At present, the police is investigating the matter.

Information given to police

It is believed that this incident of crown theft took place on Thursday around 2 to 2.30 pm, when priest Dilip Mukherjee went to his home after performing puja during the day. Later, when the cleaning staff saw, the crown was missing from the head of Goddess Kali. After this the police was informed about the incident.

Police is investigating

After the theft of the crown from the temple, the police has started investigation. The police are continuously searching for the thief. Inspector Taijul Islam of Shyamnagar police station said, “We are checking the CCTV of the temple to identify the thief.”

The crown presented by PM Modi to the temple was of silver, which was coated with gold. According to Hindu belief, Jeshoreshwari Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths present in India and neighboring countries.

Let us tell you that, during his Bangladesh tour, PM Modi had visited this temple on 27 March 2021. During this time he had presented the crown in the temple. During this time, PM Modi had also shared a video of his darshan in the temple.
