Myanmar Army Airstrike: At least 40 people were killed and about 20 others were injured in an army airstrike on a village under the control of an armed minority ethnic group in Myanmar. Officials of the ethnic group and a local charitable organization gave information about this on Thursday. Officials claimed that hundreds of houses were destroyed in the fire caused by the air strike. He said the attack took place Wednesday in Kyauk Ni Maw village on Ramree Island, an area controlled by the Arakan Army, a minority ethnic group in western Rakhine state.

Army did not confirm

However, the army has not confirmed any attack in the area. The situation in the village could not be independently confirmed, as access to internet and mobile phone service is almost disrupted in the area.

This is how violence started in Myanmar

It is noteworthy that violence in Myanmar started when the army ousted the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi in February 2021. The army has also used force to suppress peaceful demonstrations. Meanwhile, many opponents of the military rule have taken up arms and large parts of the country are now embroiled in conflict.
