Sunita Williams will return after 9 months.
International Space Station (ISS), a 9 -month -old astronauts Buch Wilmore and Sunita Williams are finally to return to the earth. NASA has confirmed the date of their return to the land. NASA has said on Sunday that the return of both astronauts to the land is going to be held on the evening of March 18, 18 March. It is believed that both will be launched in the water area near the coast of Florida, USA.
Why the astronauts trapped
Buch Wilmore and Sunita Williams left for space on June 5 from Boeing’s new Starlineer Capsule. Both had to stay there for a week. However, both have been stranded there for about 9 months due to the aircraft malfunction. SpaceX’s spacecraft reached the International Space Station on Sunday. With this, the way of return of Williams and Wilmore was cleared.
There will be live coverage of return
NASA confirmed that astronauts will land on the sea away from the coast of Florida on March 18 at around 5:57 pm (IST, 19 March). Live coverage of the return of SpaceX Crew-9 mission will also be released by NASA. It will start on Monday 17 March at 10:45 pm (IST at 8:30 am on March 18).
Trump accused Biden
US President Donald Trump accused the previous Biden administration of leaving astronauts. Elon Musk had said- “Astronauts had gone there only for eight days but they have been there for eight months. SpaceX could bring him back by sending another vehicle six months ago, but Bidon White House refused to allow it. President Trump asked him to bring him back as soon as possible and we are doing so.”
