Saudi Arabia has resumed the construction work of the Zeddah Tower. This tower is set to be the tallest building in the world. Its work started in 2013, but had been halted for many years due to political and money problems. Now its construction has started again and it remains a matter of discussion around the world.
Currently, the world’s tallest building is Burj Khalifa located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which has a height of 828 meters. But now Saudi Arabia’s Zeddah Tower is ready to break this record. According to reports, this new skyscraper will be more than 1000 meters high. The estimated cost of the project is reported to be $ 2.6 billion (about Rs 21,000 crore).
The Jeddah Tower designed by well-known architect Adrian Smith will be special not only because of its height, but also for its special multipurpose design. The building will also include luxury residential flats, four seasons hotel, office space, and shopping centers. After this, this tower will not only change the skyline of Saudi Arabia, but will also bring tourism and trade in the country to new heights.
The re -start of this project is also seen as an indication that Saudi Arabia is once again winning the trust of investors, especially at a time when the country is facing long -term challenges such as lack of oil reserves. The Zeddah Tower is part of the Vision 2030 of Saudi Arabia, which aims to increase the economic diversity of the country so that it can reduce the dependence on oil.
Meanwhile, showing strong relations between India and Saudi Arabia, India’s Union Minister for Health, Chemicals and Fertilizers J.K. P. Nadda recently visited Saudi Arabia on a two -day official visit. During this time he met with Saudi Arabia’s Industry and Mineral Resource Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khoref, which further strengthened cooperation between the two countries.
