Nigeria Blast: A fuel tanker in Nigeria crashed midway, after which a crowd of people gathered to steal oil from it. People started taking out oil from the tanker in large numbers, then there was a big explosion in that oil tanker. 94 people died in this blast. This incident took place in Jigawa state of Northern Nigeria. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment.
It is being told that this accident happened due to overturning of petrol tanker. More than 90 people died and 50 others were injured in the explosion. The incident occurred when dozens of people ran towards the vehicle to get fuel. The blast occurred just after midnight in Jigawa state when the tanker driver lost control of the vehicle on a highway near the university, police spokesman Lawan Adam said. After this the tanker overturned. “Residents were removing fuel from an overturned tanker when the explosion occurred,” Adam said. After the explosion, a massive fire broke out in the tanker and 94 people died on the spot.
