Luxury Cruise Norovirus OutBreak: According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 200 passengers and crew members have fallen ill due to an outbreak of Norovirus. According to The New York Times report, this cruise ship named Queenard Lines was going from England to Eastern Caribbean. According to the CDC, 224 passengers and 17 crew members have been victims of virus outbreaks. The ship has 2,538 passengers and 1,232 crew members. The major symptoms of the virus include diarrhea and vomiting. According to a trekking site called Cruise Mapper, the outbreak of the virus was reported on March 18, when Cruise stayed in New York.
Monitoring is being kept on passengers
The New York Times report stated that in a statement on Tuesday, Kunard said that the ship has been cleaned well, and passengers are being monitored strictly. “Due to the quick response and additional measures of our crew, we are seeing a decrease in cases reported,” Qoonard’s statement said. According to the CDC, the cruise liner has increased the cleaning and disinfection procedure, separated the sick passengers and the crew, samples have also been taken for testing.
