Benjamin Netanyahu, PM, Israel

Late Al-Balah, Gaza Patti: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attitude seems to have seen more bleeding in Gaza. Netanyahu again said that Israel has no option but to continue the fight in Gaza. He said that Israel would not end the war before eliminating Hamas, freeing hostages and ensuring that the region does not pose a threat to Israel. Along with this, Netanyahu also reiterated that he would ensure that Iran never got nuclear weapons.

Hamas rejected Israel’s proposal

Netanyahu claimed that Hamas had rejected Israel’s new proposal to release half the hostages to continue the ceasefire. Netanyahu said this after the attacks in Gaza. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, more than 90 people have been killed during 48 hours in the attacks carried out by Israel in Gaza.

Israeli soldiers intensified attacks

Israeli soldiers are intensifying their attacks to release hostages and put arms on Hamas. According to hospital staff, 15 people killed overnight include children and women. Hospital staff reported that at least 11 people were killed in the southern city of Khan Unis, many of them were in a tent in Mousi area, where hundreds of displaced people live. Israel has declared it a human region. Those who mourned took the face of the dead and kissed. Before closing the bags of the dead bodies, a person caressed a child’s forehead with his finger.

Claims to kill more than 40 terrorists

Four other people were killed in attacks in Rafa city, including a woman and her daughter. One person was killed in an Israeli air strike on a group of civilians west of Nucerat in Madhya Gaza. The Israeli army said in a statement that it killed more than 40 terrorists over the weekend. The army said that a soldier was killed in North Gaza on Saturday and confirmed that it was the death of the soldier before Israel started the war on 18 March. The Armed Branch of Hamas, the Cassam Brigade said that it attacked the Israeli army working in the east of the al-Tufah neighborhood of Gaza city.

Blockade in Gaza for 6 weeks

Israel has vowed to intensify attacks in Gaza and capture large ‘security areas’ indefinitely inside the small coastal strip of more than 2 million people. Hamas wants Israeli armies to move away from Gaza. Israel has blocked Gaza for the last six weeks, again banning the entry of food and other items. According to the United Nations, support groups have expressed concern this week, said that thousands of children have been malnourished and most people are barely able to eat once a day due to the stock being low. Dr. Hanan Balkhi, head of the Eastern Mediterranean Office of the World Health Organization, on Friday urged the new US Ambassador Mike Hukabi in Israel to pressurize the country to remove the blockade of Gaza to provide medicines and other assistance. He said, “I want them to go there and look at the situation directly.”

Hamas attacked on October 7, 2023

The war began when Hamas -led militants attacked Southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people, most of whom were citizens, and 251 were abducted. Most hostages have been released in ceasefire agreements or other deals. Hamas is currently held hostage of 59 hostages, of which 24 are expected to be alive. (Input-PTI)
