Beijing: There has been a fierce collision in a vessel and a boat in a river in the southern part of China. Many people have died in this incident. At the same time, oil leakage from the vessel has increased the danger to aquatic organisms. It is being told that a vessel who cleaned the oil leak hit a small boat, killing 11 people and five others missing. Those are being searched. Government media gave this information on Friday night.

China’s official news agency ‘Xinhua’ said that on Tuesday morning, 19 people fell into the water during an accident in the Yuanshui river in Hunan province, out of which three were rescued on the same day. The accident occurred at the place where the river is more than 60 meters (200) deep and 500 meters (1,600 feet) wide. Xinhua said that the search and rescue operations continued.

3 people under investigation

A relative of a person survived in the accident told Shanghai newspaper ‘The Paper’ that the boat is the main means of moving in his village. In a video obtained by ‘The Paper’, a large vessel cleaning the oil leak is seen hitting the boat in a quiet water from behind. The Chinese news agency said on Wednesday that three people aboard the vessel are under police investigation and none of them have been injured. (AP)
