Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s government has been nervous due to fair and fearless reporting of Indian journalists in Nepal. Therefore, the government has suspended the passes of Indian media in Nepal with immediate effect. Let us know that the Nepal government has taken this step in view of the indefinite strike in Kathmandu from 29 May in Kathmandu. In this, foreign media journalists including India have been banned from going to the ground and reporting.
The order has been issued that the reporters coming to Nepal will be able to report only after getting permission from the government. While issuing a statement on behalf of the Press Council Nepal, it has been informed that foreign journalists come to Nepal and stop reporting. Although foreign media has been written in this statement to say, but this ban has been targeted by journalists working in Indian media.

The Press Council’s statement also said that the protests in Nepal have been instructed to take legal action against journalists showing exaggerated manner. Explain that the Indian news channels who were given a press pass by the Information Department under the Ministry of Information and Communication of Nepal have either been suspended or have not been renewed. So that they can be prevented from reporting from Nepal.
Permission will have to be taken from the government for reporting
The Oli government has also lodged its objection to showing news against the constitution in the reporting of foreign media, saying that the pro -monarchy demonstration in Nepal was against its constitution, in the reporting of foreign media recently. Along with this, now a directive has been issued to go to field reporting only after taking permission from the information department of the government to the reporting reporting to Nepal. The Press Council’s statement said that direct reporting without the permission of the government would be considered illegal and journalists who do so would have to participate in action according to the prevailing law of the Government of Nepal.

The Press Council has finally appealed to foreign media institutions and journalists not to show any news against Nepal’s university, nationality, independence, to be sensitive in religious and communal matters in Nepal, spread religious frenzy in Nepal and not spread hatred in communal and social harmony.
