The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of Oman has announced a comprehensive ban on the imports of living birds, their products, residues and waste from eight countries under the Ministry Decision No. 144/2025. This ban will apply to some regions of Asia, Europe, South America and Africa, where serious concerns have been expressed about animal health and public health. This instruction has come in immediate effect, that is, no related products from these countries will be able to enter Oman from now on.
The ministry says that this decision has been taken under precautionary veterinary measures so that the country can be protected from any possible disease or virus.
The areas from which Oman have banned the import of birds and poultry products include:
