Pakistan -based American Mission on Wednesday issued a security alert and advised American citizens to release areas with active conflicts. Mission said that it is closely monitoring the developments after the operation vermilion launched by India targeting the terrorist structure in Pakistan. “
Security alert titled ‘Military Activity and Closed Airspace’ stated, “We are aware of reports of military attacks in Pakistan by India. This is an emerging situation, and we are closely monitoring the incident.”
The alert states, “American citizens are reminded of consulting the Indian-Pakistan border and areas around the Line of Control due to the possibility of terrorism and armed conflict.
It said, “We also know that the airspace has been discontinued and many flights have been canceled.”
Through alert, the US embassy and consulates in Pakistan advised American citizens that “if they could come out of the struggle areas safely, go from there, or take refuge in a safe place.” It states that American citizens should be cautious and “if they find themselves in an unexpected military activities, leave the area, if they cannot move, take shelter in a safe place, review the personal security plan, review and be aware of the surrounding environment and be aware of the identity cards and support the authorities.”
In March, the US State Department issued a travel advice to reconsider “Pakistan’s visit to Pakistan due to the possibility of terrorism and armed conflict.
The consultation stated, “Do not travel to Balochistan province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, which includes the former Union administered tribal region (FATA), and do not travel immediately to the surrounding areas of the India-Pakistan border and the Line of Control due to the possibility of terrorism and armed conflict.”
In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting the terrorist structure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir. On 22 April, 26 civilians were killed in this attack by the terrorist organization The Resistance Front.
The Indian Embassy in Washington said in a statement, “India has reliable clues, technical information, statements of surviving people and other evidences that indicate the clear involvement of terrorists in Pakistan in this attack.”
It said, “India’s action has been focused and accurate. They were of Napi-Tuli, responsible and non-envious nature. Any Pakistani citizens, economic or military bases were not targeted. Only known terrorist camps were targeted.”
