Beirut Airport
Beirut: Lebanon’s civil aviation authority has banned pagers and walkie-talkies on all planes flying from Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport. A day after the pager blasts in Lebanon, incidents of explosions in electronic devices were reported in many parts of the country on Wednesday as well. Several people were killed and more than three thousand people were injured in Wednesday’s blast. Authorities have asked all airlines to inform passengers using the airport that carrying pagers and walkie-talkies on jet planes is banned ‘until further notice’. It has also been said that such devices found with passengers will be confiscated.
Israel is preparing
Meanwhile, it should also be noted here that the hopes of a diplomatic solution between Israel and Hezbollah are fading fast. Israel has started working towards strengthening its front in the north of the country and in recent days, heavy military force has also been deployed to the northern border.
“This is a declaration of war”
After the explosions in pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has said that Israel has committed genocide in Lebanon. This is like a declaration of war. By carrying out this attack, Israel has crossed the red line. The Hezbollah chief said that Israel has tried to kill thousands of people along with those around them. (AP)
