People of the oven -migrant Indian community in Britain gathered in large numbers in the Indian High Commission in London to protest against Pakistan’s performance.
The migrant Pakistanis had called for a protest, accusing India of “propagating” in view of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Pro -India protesters demonstrated by shouting the slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” and waving the tricolor. Their number was much higher than the small group of British Pakistanis on the other side of the road in front of the ‘India House’. The Metropolitan Police had adequate presence at the protest site.
Later, British Indian groups paid tribute to them by burning candles in Pikadili Circus in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack on 22 April. 26 people were killed in this attack.
Indian migrant groups organized similar protests and rallies at various places in the UK, including Edinburgh in Manchester, Scotland and Belfast in North Ireland and condemned the support being given to terrorist organizations by Pakistan.
The community group ‘Insight UK’ said, “The purpose of these demonstrations is to show solidarity against terrorism.”
Earlier, Indian migrant organizations staged a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in the British capital on Friday, in response to which British Pakistanis also demonstrated with the support of mission officials.
A video of these demonstrations widely broadcast on social media was seen threatening to cut a threat to Indian protesters outside the building.
