Mastermind of Mumbai terror attacks Tahwwur Rana
Tahawwur Rana Extradition: Pakistan’s first statement has emerged after the extradition of Tahwwur Rana, mastermind of Mumbai terror attacks. Pakistan has separated itself from Tahwwur Rana. The Pakistan Foreign Office said in a video statement, “Tahwwur Rana has not renewed his Pakistani documents in the last two decades. His Canadian nationality is very clear.”
Tahwwur Rana will disclose the conspiracy
Now that Tehwavur Rana is being brought to India, Pakistan is separating himself from Rana because Tahavvur Rana is an internal source of the Pakistani Army, ISI. Terrorist Rana will now reveal Pakistan’s direct role in the conspiracy of Mumbai 26/11 attacks.
What will happen after Rana’s extradition?
Investigating agency officials said Rana would be questioned to find out the role of Pakistan behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. He can be kept in NIA custody after appropriate legal procedure for inquiry. There may also be some new revelation in questioning Rana. It is believed that the authorities are also considering the option of keeping him in Tihar Jail in Delhi.
NIA had filed a case
On November 11, 2009, the NIA registered a case against Rana and others under various sections. Rana, along with members of Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) and Harkat-ul Jihadi Islamic (HUJI), conspired for a terrorist attack in India. A total of 166 people, including six Americans, were killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. These attacks were carried out by 10 Pakistani terrorists.
