Lahore: Six people, including a minor girl, died after an explosion in a tanker filled with LPG in Pakistan’s Punjab province. Giving information about this on Monday, the officials said that 31 people were injured in the incident. According to rescue officials, this terrible accident took place in the industrial area of Hamidpur Kanaura area of Multan.
Debris fell in residential areas
The news of Geo News states that a fierce fire broke out after the tanker exploded on Monday. After the explosion, the debris of the vehicle fell into the surrounding residential areas, causing heavy losses. Rescue officials said more than 10 fire engines and foam -based equipment were used to extinguish the fire immediately after the incident. The fire was controlled after several hours of hard work.
20 houses were destroyed
The initial report confirmed the death of five people, but later the death toll increased to six after finding another body from a house. The dead include a minor girl and two women. According to the police, about 20 houses around the blast site have been completely destroyed, while 70 houses have suffered partial losses.
