Lahore: Pakistan has got a lot of success. Pakistani law enforcement agencies have arrested 20 terrorists, including a Sikh person allegedly associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Punjab province of Pakistan. The police gave this information on Saturday.
A spokesman for the Anti -Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Punjab Police said in a statement that the law enforcement officials arrested 20 TTP terrorists during 162 intelligence information in various areas of Punjab this week and thwarted a major terrorist scheme by arresting 20 TTP militants. The statement said, “Three extremely dangerous TTP members – Manmohan Singh, Nakibullah and Riyaz were arrested from Rawalpindi, Lahore and Rahim Yar Khan respectively.”
Huge amount of explosives recovered
According to the statement, a large quantity of explosives and weapons have been recovered from the possession of the arrested terrorists. Among them, 6,238 grams of explosives, 23 detonators, 61 feet long safety fuse wire, three IED bombs and banned literature were recovered. The statement said, “His plans were to target important buildings in Lahore and other cities.” 18 cases have been registered against the arrested terrorists and further investigation is on. ”(Language)
