Peshawar: Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that Afghanistan’s land is being used against Pakistan. He said that many times concerned about this issue was raised before the Afghan government, but to no avail. Addressing a press conference at the Governor House, he said that the Government of Pakistan has repeatedly informed the Afghan administration that the weapons left by the US are now in the hands of the terrorists and they are being used against Pakistan.

This comment by Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has come at a time when officials of the two countries have talked about in Kabul to improve the tensioned relationship due to differences over terrorism, trade, refugees and other bilateral issues. Kundi said that Maulana Fazlur Rahman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), visited Afghanistan, but no action was taken after that.

Afghan citizens are being sent back
Meanwhile, let us also tell here that the process of returning of Afghan citizens living illegally in Pakistan is going on continuously and more than 8 lakh people have been sent back to their country till 20 March. The Government of Pakistan has set a deadline for March 31, under which people living illegally and Afghan citizen card holders will have to leave the country. Under this, 8,74,282 Afghans have been sent back from Pakistan so far. The government has taken this step due to terrorism concerns. (Language)
