Peshawar: Security forces in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed 12 terrorists in a campaign based on intelligence. According to the media branch of the Pakistani Army, the campaign was carried out on the intervening night of 5-six February in Hasan Khel area of North Waziristan, in which a security personnel also lost his life. The statement said that intelligence information was received about the presence of terrorists in the area, on the basis of which the campaign was carried out.
Arms and ammunition recovered
The statement also said that during the campaign, security forces targeted terrorist bases and killed 12 terrorists. It said that weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the occupation of the terrorists and these terrorist security forces as well as several terrorist activities against citizens.
Police check post was attacked
Let me tell you that recently, a police check post was attacked by gunmen in the northwest region of Pakistan. Three policemen were killed and six were injured in the attack. Police had said that heavy -armed attackers had opened fire at a brave sports check post in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stressed the need to abolish Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan last month. (Language)
