Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province becomes more disturbed than before, 18 dead in factional violence –

Peshawar: The restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwestern Pakistan has become more chaotic than before. At least 18 people have died here in the last 24 hours due to factional violence. While 30 others have been injured. Giving this information, Pakistan Police said that after the attack on a passenger van on Thursday in Kurram district bordering Afghanistan, violence broke out between Alizai and Bagan tribes.

According to the information, 47 people were killed in the attack on the passenger van. Firing is also going on in Balishkhel, Khar Kali, Kunj Alizai and Maqbal. People of tribal communities are targeting each other using automatic weapons. So far 18 people have lost their lives and 30 have been injured in the violence. Media sources have reported more than 30 people killed in the violence.

Houses and shops set on fire

During the violence, anarchist elements set fire to many houses and shops and carried out horrific acts of vandalism. After this, people from various villages have gone to safe places. Seeing the worsening of the situation, all the educational institutions of the district were closed for Saturday, which was confirmed by Muhammad Hayat Hasan, President of ‘Private Education Network’. On Thursday, more than 50 vehicles were fired upon in Bagan, Manduri and Ochhat. Police officials said that 47 people including women and children died in this. He said most of the deceased were from the Shia community. (Language)
